Myrtle Beach, SC – The Penn State Fayette Women's Softball team spent their spring break competing at Cal Ripken Experience for Spring Training in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Lady Roaring Lions played schools that were classified as Division I or Division II. Although they had a bigger challenge, that didn't stop them from having a slow start for their season. After the first few games, the hopeful team managed to find a peak from getting their first run of the season against Lackawanna College halfway through their trip. This gave them a spark and the Lady Lions were able to give the rest of the teams a run for their money. The Penn State Fayette Softball team ended their spring break with a win against Queensborough CC ,9-1. "This was a beneficial win because we needed that confidence to know that we can do it. We just needed that edge to get on the right track for the season and now we know that we can trust our teammates to get the job done." Sophomore Hannah Kline states as her and the rest of her teammates returned home.
The Penn State Fayette Softball teams looks to take their next opponent as they travel to Allegheny College of Maryland on Sunday March 19th at 12 pm.
