This week, the Penn State Fayette Athletic Department would like to congratulate sophomore, Michael Perdomo, from Lanham, MD with the recognition of Student Athlete of the Week, for making it to the NCWA National Wrestling Championships down in Kissimmee, Florida. After coming in third place in the UMBC Regional Tournament in the 141 pound weight class for the Mid-East Conference, Perdomo qualified for nationals. He competed on March 10th, against Jayce Clary from Grand Canyon University of the West Coast Conference, in the first round of the tournament. Unfortunately, Perdomo was pinned by Clary in 5 minutes 50 seconds. His next competitor was Luke Klein from Grand Valley State who overcame Perdomo 6-2 to win the match. Finishing off the season, Micheal Perdomo had an overall record of 16-14.
